USE
Click Left, Top, Right or Bottom to move the taskbar immediately. Clicking an
edge of the desktop preview does the same. Your applied position is remembered.
Bottom restores the standard Windows taskbar. Tab moves through controls;
Space or Enter activates a focused button.
The desktop preview animates between all four edges, with a shifting app window
and taskbar icons. It follows the Windows animation accessibility setting.
The blue Hide to tray button tucks the window away while Rightbar keeps running.
Double-click its system tray icon or open the desktop shortcut to return.

The dark window has large controls and always-visible author / copyright credits.
The original Rightbar icon is included in the app, its tray icon and assets/.
The single EXE download creates a desktop shortcut when one does not already exist.

For Left or Right, drag the taskbar's inner edge to resize it. The width updates
as you drag and is saved automatically. Escape cancels the drag. Each monitor
uses the same position and logical width. Top keeps Windows' normal height.
App buttons have subtle Vista-inspired glass outlines: a thin cool-blue rim
with a gentle upper highlight. The colors adapt to light and dark taskbars.

AFTER SLEEP
Rightbar listens for resume, unlock, display changes and Explorer rebuilding
its taskbar. It reapplies your selected position after Windows settles. It also
checks for an unexpected return to the bottom and restarts its private taskbar
component if necessary. It does not restart Windows Explorer or close apps.
Recovery retries are limited; if they fail, click your edge again to retry.
Selecting Bottom intentionally pauses position recovery.

BACKGROUND OPTIONS
Keep running on close is on by default. The close button hides
Rightbar in the system tray; double-click its icon to reopen it. The tray menu
lets you reopen the window or exit and restore the bottom taskbar.
Uncheck this option if you prefer closing Rightbar to restore and exit.

Start with Windows is optional and initially off. Enable it to add a per-user
sign-in entry. It starts Rightbar hidden in the tray and restores your saved
position. Turn it off before moving or deleting this folder.

RESTORING WINDOWS
Exit and restore bottom in the tray menu stops Rightbar and restores the taskbar.
Restore Taskbar.exe: emergency restore that also cancels automatic recovery.
A separate watchdog restores the taskbar if the controller unexpectedly exits.

COMPATIBILITY
Open the downloaded Rightbar-1.5-windows-x64.exe. It prepares its files
inside %LOCALAPPDATA%\Polalee\Rightbar and opens Rightbar automatically.
You do not need to extract anything manually. Keep the prepared files together.
To remove it, exit and restore bottom, turn off Start with Windows, then delete
its prepared folder and desktop shortcut.
Windows 11 Intel/AMD x64 and .NET Framework 4.x are required. No administrator
privileges or Windows service are required by this portable package.
Turn taskbar auto-hide off. First use may need internet for Microsoft symbols.
Do not run this private runtime alongside another Windhawk instance.
Windows updates can affect compatibility. If icons stay rotated after restoring,
sign out and back in. With Top, Windows' Quick Settings panel may still open at
the bottom; this is an upstream limitation of the top-position component.

VERIFICATION — 25 September 2026
Tested on Windows 11 build 26100.9448:
- Actual Left, Top, Right and Bottom positions: passed.
- Drag resizing, saved widths and cancellation on both sides: passed.
- Button outlines on Left, Top and Right: passed.
- Simulated resume after the component stops: recovered automatically.
- Unexpected bottom position without a resume event: recovered automatically.
- Intentionally selecting Bottom: stayed at Bottom with the component stopped.
- Recovery debounce, backoff and bounded failures: passed.
Physical laptop sleep/wake, real sign-in startup, and every flyout / monitor
DPI combination were not tested. See verification.txt for the test report.

official offline release to rebuild both modified taskbar components.

rightbar-outlines.h contains the shared customization. Original values restore
on unload. LLVM runtime: Apache 2.0 with LLVM exceptions; see licenses/LLVM.txt.
Original signed Microsoft symbol helpers from Windhawk are included unchanged.
The full Windhawk editor is not included; use Rightbar to control this runtime.
